Sharing Your Story Safely
Lived experience can help people feel less alone. These guidelines aim to make sharing respectful, private, and useful — for you and for everyone who reads it.
Protect your privacy
Do not include names, addresses, hospital record numbers, phone numbers, or details that could identify you or another person. You can choose to post anonymously.
Share your experience, not medical instructions
Describe what happened to you or your family. Avoid telling other visitors to start, stop, or change a medicine, because individual care needs a qualified clinician.
Expect moderation
Every submission is reviewed before it is published. LevWise may edit for clarity, privacy, or safety, and may decline material that is identifying, abusive, promotional, or unsafe.
Keep consent central
Only share a story about someone else if you have their permission and it is appropriate to do so. You can request that a published story be reviewed or removed by emailing LevWise.
Important safety boundary
Story sharing is not an urgent support service. If you are concerned about immediate harm, severe confusion, psychosis, or thoughts of self-harm or suicide, contact local emergency services or a crisis line rather than submitting a story.
